The trip across the Balkans to Istanbul was like going back to Yugoslavia. The missed and homey feeling made is special for me, and the good energy and the palpable remnants of the socialism era made is special for Antonio. The stroll through Belgrade streets was short, but memorable.
Sofia, on the other hand, is always so rainy (regardless of the actual weather) and sad. In the two hour wait we gave it a chance to improve our perception, but the attempt failed.

A very quick stop in Zagreb (Croatia)

Belgrad is a big city with great energy.
