This was not my first December swim, but my first WINTER one! I couldn’t recommend it more :-). Hiding in the inland bush is the small village of Chirimena where any pale European is a big attraction. Close by lies the Laguna de Tacarigua with mangrove trees, crocodiles and a tiny island in the middle where thousands of birds rest at night.
